Autumn fruits have such a scent that from our early childhood their fragrances captivate us. They make us greedy and few resist when they have been cooked.
Make your pate with the thresher
This is the case with apple pie, this big turnover garnished with fruit. Like any recipe it is a real know-how to prepare, with good ingredients, this specialty of the region. Try your hand at a retired baker at one of the manufacturing workshops on Sunday October 17 at Domaine des Grands Murcins in Arcon. Once cooked on site, over a wood-fired oven, all you have to do is sit at the foot of a tree to appreciate it. For many it is a pleasant childhood memory of sweet snacks shared with grandparents, for others it will become one of the favorite recipes that melts in your mouth.
A juicy and sparkling nectar
Apples, pears, quinces are often also transformed into juice. It will therefore not be rare, during this season, to see the press of the Portailler de Juré mill operating, driven by the energy of the Aix river. Even if you have no fruit, you will still be able to taste this juice at the table of the Auberge Le Moulin located in the continuity. This local product is a real celebrity because it is the subject, each year, of a tasting competition of ciders from the region organized by the Friends of the Pressoir de Juré. Here is a beverage that accompanies, on the stalls, grape juice and the famous AOC wine from the Côte Roannaise.

Amaze your guests
Grapes, also used in baking. We obviously think of raisin breads. But what is rarer is its use when it is fresh. It then becomes the main ingredient in the recipe for a cake similar to a clafoutis. You will easily find the description on the internet, and for which beer replaces milk. Choose your local beer, stop by in the kitchen and let us know.
