The magic of Christmas settles in Roanne!
The month of December marks the beginning of the festivities. The city center of Roanne puts on the colors of Christmas: light decorations, garlands, everything takes on a festive air!
We love to wander through the shops of the city in search of the perfect gifts for our loved ones.
Festi'Noël is the name of the entertainment program offered by the municipality of Roanne. Shows and songs resound to amaze children and adults alike, there is no age to believe in Santa Claus! This year, the Festi'Noël entertainment program regains market place in partnership with Revillon for new adventures that invite you to wonder and delight in every moment.
Christmas village, ice rink, parades, magical decorations and enchanted bubbles will transport you into the Christmas spirit.
Launch of the festivities on December 15
Festi'Noël will begin on Friday December 15 with the inauguration of the Christmas village.
From the Place de la Paix, close to the Banks of the Loire, the Remue-Ménage Company will begin its love parade from 18:15 p.m., a street art show between charm and tenderness. A herd of deer and does will perform astonishing dances, like an ode to love and nature!
At 19 p.m., Place du Marché, the municipality will offer visitors mulled wine and papillotes, in partnership with Révillon Chocolatier.
New for 2023: Urban Trail on December 15
The City of Roanne, in partnership with Week & Sport and Vitrines de Roanne, is hosting for the first time an urban and nighttime race in the city center.

Christmas village and ice rink
The unmissable Christmas market will be held at Place du Marché. In a magical world, around ten chalets will be open from December 15 to January 7: crafts, sweets, original gifts, snacks... Enough to do your Christmas shopping.
While walking around the square, you will be able to admire a scenography. Around our Christmases of yesteryear, come and relive this nostalgic and poetic atmosphere.
Beautifully lit, two enchanted bubbles will give a new face to the Christmas market. One, gourmet, will be a tribute to Hansel and Gretel and their gingerbread house. The other, decorated with its Nutcrackers, will present a toy store reminiscent of those from our childhood.
The ice rink is making a comeback for the enjoyment of young and old alike. A true 200 m² ice mirror, it will be the attraction of this market.
Shows in the city's pedestrian streets
Every year, strolling shows take place in the streets of the city. A breath of poetry and sweetness diffuses with each passage.

I love seeing the city light up at the end of the day and strolling past the decorated shops looking for a gift for those around me! I never miss the opportunity to take my children to the Christmas market, to see Santa Claus or to a singing or dancing show... It's so beautiful to see the stars in their eyes... Enough to stay wise before the arrival of the big red and white man!
