Created twenty years ago, the Fleurs de Soleil association, based in Grasse, works only with volunteers. Indeed, the members of the board of directors are all volunteers and owners of Bed and Breakfast or Furnished Tourism.

The special feature of the Fleurs de Soleil label

Headed by the “Maisons d'Amis en France” structure, the association is recognized by the State Secretariat in charge of Tourism. It is committed by the AFNOR iso 9001 certification. For the member, it is the assurance of quality management and a commitment to support to raise the label and its members. Applications must be submitted via the website in the “Obtain the label” tab. An accreditation visit will take place according to precise and adapted criteria and “flowers” ​​will be allocated according to the proposed standing of 3 to 5 flowers, as well as a sign to be installed at the entrance to the accommodation.

Members are invited to collect the opinions of their customers. This lowers membership costs as customers serve as criteria for satisfaction and limit costly inspection visits. The membership price therefore remains quite competitive and below the competition.

The 1st 100% French label controls and promotes quality tourist accommodation. Each labeled rental benefits from a visit to verify its compliance with the demanding quality charter which includes nearly 200 criteria (comfort, equipment, location, environment, assistance and reception). After the labeling, a control visit takes place every 4 years. The Clévacances label is recognizable by its keys which attest to the level of comfort and service.

The establishments with the Accueil Vélo label are located less than 5 kilometers from a bicycle route and have equipment suitable for cyclists (bicycle shelter, repair kit, etc.). These welcoming establishments must provide dedicated services for bicycle travelers: luggage transfer, laundry and drying, bicycle rental and washing.

Fishing accommodation

The national label "Fishing accommodation" is awarded by the President of the Departmental Fishing Federation. This label is intended for tourist rentals (guest rooms, furnished tourist accommodation, hotels, tourist residences, holiday villages, campsites, etc.). The various establishments are controlled by the Departmental Federation of Fishing of the Loire.

This label is free and awarded for a period of 3 years renewable after a control visit.

Accommodation must meet the following criteria:

  • Home
    • Distance from fishing grounds: be located near a watercourse or body of water,
    • Opening period: be open during the fishing period,
    • Personalized reception: provide information relating to the regulations in force (fishing guide, retailers of fishing articles, boat rental, etc.)
    • Proposal of activities for accompanying persons: make the various activities available in the area,
    • Fisheries documentary: provide magazines, technical books, etc. related to fishing
  • Services
    • Equipment room: provide a secure room, easy to access from the outside with a water point and a refrigerator,
    • Storage of live bait: provide a device for storing live bait,
    • For guest rooms: offer the breakfast service very early in the morning as well as a packed lunch,
    • For table d'hôtes: offer packed lunches or adapt the evening service hours.
  • Accessibility to practice
    • Issuance of the fishing license: provide internet access to obtain a fishing license,
    • Specific documentation: provide all the information related to the practice of fishing,

Vineyards & Discoveries

Created in 2009, the Vignobles & Découvertes label is awarded for a period of 3 years by Atout France, following the recommendation of the Superior Wine Tourism Council, to a tourist and wine-growing destination offering a range of multiple and complementary tourist products (accommodation, catering, cellar visit and tasting, museum, event, etc.) and allowing the customer to facilitate the organization of his stay and direct him to qualified services.

The Vignobles & Découvertes label corresponds to a collective brand, the Vignobles & Découvertes brand, whose management and award procedure are governed by usage regulations.

The brand distinguishes destinations offering a complete offer, corresponding to a short stay practice, relevant to the theme of the vineyard, and of quality.

Candidates must assemble accommodation, catering, cellar discovery activities, visits to cultural sites, discoveries of natural spaces, local know-how, leisure activities, events, receptive structures meeting the requirements of the usage regulations and committed to the process.

The brand thus aims to develop networking, promote the emergence and promotion of qualified products in line with the new expectations and practices of tourist clienteles sensitive to wine tourism.

How to obtain the label

  1. Contact the project leader, for the Loire department, the ADT or the Tourist Offices of the territories concerned, namely: Roannais et Loire Forez.
  2. A control visit to the establishment is organized to verify whether the eligibility criteria are met. At the end of this visit, a commitment form is signed by the applicant establishment. The process is free.
  3. The application is then sent to Atout France which ensures the examination of the file:
  • initial application : a complete file is produced with a detailed presentation of the candidate destination and the eligible service providers.

The label is awarded for a period of 3 years.

  • addition of partners within an already labeled destination : during the 3 years of validity of the label, partners can commit to the process. New partners commit after validation of their application by the project leader and a letter is sent to Atout France.
  • renewal : a renewal request file is put together by the project leader. The latter is then auditioned by the CSO (Comité Supérieur de l'Oenotourisme) and a representative of Atout France.

The renewal is granted for a period of 3 years.

Once labeled, the partners in the process receive a “Vineyards & Discoveries” plaque to affix to their facade. All partners can therefore use the logo and the communication tools made available to them.
