The Mad Jacques is an adventure race in France that combines trail running, cycling and kayaking. It takes place over several days, testing the mental and physical resistance of participants through varied landscapes, in a festive atmosphere.
La Mad Jacques Bike arrives in Roanne from June 28 to 30, 2024. Let yourself be carried away by your bikes on the Wine Route. It promises you an exceptional experience combining adventure, discovery and surpassing yourself.

The programme
Friday 28 June: The Roanne coast
The day on the Roannais begins in Roanne, with the delivery of a “paper” map of the adventure and a briefing of the route. Two choices will be available to you: The classic course and more complicated “gromollet” course. You will find refreshment areas throughout your journey, strategically placed to help you recover from your efforts.
The route will begin along the Loire, ending in the small, more remote villages of the Côte Roannaise. Once you arrive at the bivouac village, you will dine at the food trucks and can enjoy a film screening in the village hall. You will end up falling asleep in your tent…
Saturday June 29: Les Côtes du Forez
Wake up calmly and gently with a good breakfast. Always the choice between 2 courses. You will explore the vineyards of Côtes du Forez and Character Villages. You will end up arriving in the town of Champdieu, “Village de Caractère en Loire”.
Saturday June 29 at 17 p.m.: Arrival and evening
Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of Champdieu, where sporting adventure combines with the conviviality of a fair and the energy of a groovy disco evening, food trucks and entertainment.
Sunday, June 30
On Sunday mornings, the producers' “super market” offers a delicious immersion in the local territory, accompanied by exciting conferences from frequent travelers. This is the ideal opportunity to leave with quality products.
