With its 1000 inhabitants, 25 minutes from Roanne, on the borders of Allier and Saône et Loire, La Pacaudière aims to be an active, attractive community that cultivates the quality of its living environment.

You have to go back to the XNUMXth century to find traces of the hamlet of a few houses surrounded by woods and of a PACAUD family which was to become La Pacaudière.

It is undoubtedly the route of the Royal Road from Paris to Lyon which was to ensure the growth of the village over the following centuries. Its central square bears witness today to this function as a stopover town with magnificent residences, the Maison Morin (1420), the Maison Notre-Dame (XNUMXth century) and of course the Petit Louvre built in the XNUMXth century.

Faithful to its history and its tradition of welcoming and stopping off on the former Royal Road which has become the RN7 between Paris and Provence, La Pacaudière is proud of its remarkable heritage, and in particular its Petit Louvre, but also of its shops, services, guest rooms, lodgings, camping, sports equipment, hiking trails...
