The Benedictine Abbey of Pradines was created in 1804 by a former Carthusian.

The abbey is still in activity and has spread several missions in Black Africa and Latin America. Long renowned for its Sovereign water, it now offers the possibility of religious services and retreats and welcomes around sixty nuns, a place of prayer and also of work (printing, craft workshop, shop, etc.)
