Attached as an “annex” to the Parish of Saint André, Arcon was not recognized as a new Parish until 1717.

The construction of the new church began in 1862 by the entrepreneur Chanudet, according to the plans of the architect Michaud de Roanne. The church was blessed and opened for worship in 1871.
Of construction a little light for a construction of mountain, the roof was redone and the ceiling replaced by a vault, 50 years later.
The bell tower and its spire were erected in 1898 by the architect Paskowicz.
