Want to relax? Ambierle BD is one of the two comic festivals offered in the
Loire. It has become a highly anticipated event which highlights the band
drawn in all its richness (local, international, classic, manga,
comics...) around a panel of 40 authors. The festival has been based in Ambierle, on the Côte Roanne, for 13 years.
Its historical origins are located in Roanne where the Science Fiction and Imagination Festival devoted significant space to comics from 1979 to 2004. It is now rooted in this pretty village of character which is also one of the seven villages in the French book. Do we need more to confirm it: Roannais has a taste for bubbles!
Our desire: to offer a friendly event, on a human scale, satisfying both the expectations of fans of the 9th art but also those of a family audience
come to discover the comics planet. We are committed to enabling young people to
discover the authors “in the flesh”; this is the case with school meetings on the Friday before the festival. Comics and reading are also celebrated through exhibitions, comic films and various events throughout the month of September.
