The Teyssonne has its source near Saint Bonnet des Quarts. On the upstream part, the river has a good population of wild brown trout. The river being a few meters wide, therefore prefer more "toc" fishing.

Further downstream, at a place called "le Sarrot" (Saint Forgeux Lespinasse), the river is classified in 2nd category. Fishing is therefore possible all year round, although with restrictions for certain techniques or certain species.
