A work of art remembering the crossing of the Monts de la Madeleine by the jib on the Roanne -Vichy line, this viaduct crosses the Gorges de l'Isable.
In the shape of a semicircle, its first arch in the town of Crémeaux and the last in that of St Polgues, it represents an imposing mass which seems to block the bottom of the valley. It made it possible to join the station of St Polgues, point of junction of the lines of Roanne by Villemontais and of Boën sur Lignon-Barlbigny by St Germain Laval.
