All year, every day.

Le Grand Couvert also allows you to discover the forest management methods put in place by man but also its usefulness in the fight against climate change.

This building, located in the town of Vivans, was restored in 2003, at the initiative of the General Council of the Loire, now the Department of the Loire.
The restoration of this place has two objectives:

- Welcome visitors and offer them temporary and thematic exhibitions according to the seasons,
- Welcoming young people during school time but also during leisure time, in order to help them discover the functioning and role of the forest through different approaches.

In particular, a Grand Couvert room has been set up in collaboration with the Academic Inspectorate to accommodate educational activities. It is also a Tourist Information Point open in July and August.
