In the 1920s, on 3 streams that cross the town, the municipality built 1 wash house in each of the following 7 places: Goutte Bayon, Caqueret, Doyat, La Verlie, Garnier, Le Picatier and Arfeuillette.

All year, every day.

Professional women washers brought the laundry there to wash and rinse until the washing machine put an end to this activity.
The Arfeuillette washhouse was restored by the municipality following a request from the Heritage and Culture association. The other 6 were deconstructed or abandoned.
