In pure Gothic style, this beautiful church was built between 1850 and 1852 on the site of the old XNUMXth century church, oriented in the opposite direction.
Funded for half by the factory council (the parish) and half by the municipality.

This construction was directed by the architect Mr. Raffin de Montagny.
Its bell tower, meanwhile, was installed in 1868 thanks to a voluntary subscription of the inhabitants, added to a participation of the municipality and the factory council.
The stained glass windows placed in 1875 bear the names of their donors.
The pews in the nave and the pulpit were purchased thanks to the participation of the parishioners.
The clock was installed much later, in 1922 by Clément Roussel, watchmaker in Roanne.
This church is part of the parish of Sainte-Claire between Loire and Rhins du Coteau with 15 bell towers.
