The existence of the parish of Pouilly les Nonains seems as old as that of the priory. The Romanesque church under the name of Saint Paul served both Benedictine nuns and parishioners.

All year, every day.
Open only for European Heritage Days.

The villains lived in the shelter of the ramparts of the fortified town. The current priory dates from the end of the XNUMXth century when the Prioress was Dame Guillomette d'Albon Saint André. It is moreover to the Albon family that we owe the construction in the XNUMXth century of the Saint-Joseph chapel, reserved for cloistered Benedictines. Conventual life completely disappeared during the XNUMXth century.
