The origin of the church probably dates back to the beginning of the XNUMXth century with the construction of a monastery of which no trace remains.

Its history remains linked to that of the Château de Boisy. Its founder, Humbert de Boisy, had a noble fortress erected, the construction of which was completed in 1402. It was sold in 1447 to Jacques Coeur, chief treasurer of Charles VII. Considerable work was undertaken.
