The church, in its current architecture, dates from 1834.

It integrated the primitive, Romanesque church of the (2002th century) which became the east chapel of the transept. We discovered in the choir of this chapel very beautiful frescoes from the thirteenth century classified in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments. Their restoration was completed in XNUMX thanks to the action of the Association for the Safeguarding of the Municipal Heritage.

The bottom of the oven presents a Christ in majesty in a mandorla, surrounded by the 4 evangelists. This set constitutes, for the Loire department, one of the rare witnesses of the representation of Christ as he appears in medieval art.

In the intrados of the 3 windows, there were representations of saints; unfortunately, they have practically disappeared, except for a magnificent Saint Philip in the central window.

In this chapel there is a polychrome wooden statue of St Bonnet (XNUMXth century). At the back of the church is a carved wooden group representing the baptism of Christ by Saint John the Baptist (XNUMXth century).

In the steeple of the church, two bells are listed, one dated 1600 and the other from 1650.
