Memoirs of Marionettes is a biographical show that tells the story of the creator of Guignol!
In a flea market setting, Philippe LAURENT recounts the life of the creator of Guignol. In front of his large animated book, inspired by images from Epinal, funny and serious at the same time, he harangues young and old alike. With the audience, he turns the animated pages and together, they will pull the strings of this show, theater of the history that a doll has marked.
He also talks about his job as a puppet sculptor, the wood used to make them, the life of the canuts, the last century and today.
In a timeless dimension, the artist recreates a universe where storytellers, sculptors, barkers and tooth pullers mingle and brings to life an era whose echo still reaches us today.
Mémoires de Marionnettes is a daring creation, masterfully carried out, an interactive and friendly show where all generations come together between emotions and bursts of laughter.
