Join the starting point

1 - Departure

From the car park, go down between the town hall and the retirement home to the departure sign. Walk along the Rhins near the retirement home on the Quai Amiral Jules Le Bigot.

2 - Step 1

Continue on a dirt car park then on a grass path by the river. At the end, turn left and join the banks of the Loire and the Quai Général Leclerc. Go up the quay to the bridge.

3 - Step 2

Cross and join the avenue de la Liberation, the former main royal road from Paris to Lyon. Take the 1st street on the right and enter the square des Balmes. Walk towards the fountain, cross the Bateliers residence and descend towards the Loire. Go along the quai Pierre Sémard to the left.

4 - Step 3

Go down the small road to the right then turn left to enter Varenne park. Pass under the SNCF bridge and cross the park. Follow the path to the dike then turn left before the lakes. Go around them, cross a stream and walk along the water catchments.

5 - Step 4

Follow the road to Commelle (D43) on the left until the sign Le Coteau. Cross just before the sign. Take the 1st road on the right. Pass under the railway bridge, then turn right at the roundabout. Follow the small road then the Chemin des Arnauds without turning off.

6 - Step 5

On the Chemin de Verbois, turn left. Continue in the same direction on the Chemin des Côtes. Carefully cross the road to Lyon (D207), walk right along the railway line and pass under the road bridge. Turn left to cross the railway line. Take the 2nd street on the left (rue des Guérins), then the 1st alley on the right.

7 - Step 6

Join the banks of the Rhins and follow the stream to the Pré des Boeufs stadium. Go up after the bridge and enter the Etines stadium.

8 - Step 7

Exit the complex and turn right onto Boulevard Charles de Gaulle. At the May 8, 1945 roundabout, cross at the Rhins bridge.
