Ideally located on the largest meander of the Loire River, on the reservoir of the Villerest dam, the nautical base benefits from a privileged natural setting, classified Natura 2000 and recognized as a “Sensitive Natural Area”.
An educational trail on the banks of the Loire goes around the Mars Peninsula along the banks of the Loire. Punctuated with interpretation panels, the trail is intended to raise public awareness of environmental issues and the nature that surrounds them.
The loop, with a slight difference in altitude, measures 1 km and is permanently accessible.

Departure at 9:15 a.m. from the nautical base where a shuttle will transport you to your starting point at Château de la Roche. Free return (within 4 hours)
Possibility of combining the hike with a dramatized visit to the Château de la Roche at the start and upon reservation (additional €5 per person).
