In the north of the Loire department, the medieval village of Le Crozet proudly camps on its rocky promontory. Linger at the New Church near which you will discover an exceptional panorama.

All year, every day.
Church open for European Heritage Days.

The New Church was built in 1862 on the site and with the stones of the old castle, thanks to Monsignor Dauphin. Canon of St Denis and well in court under Napoleon III, he obtained from the Emperor and the courtiers the funds necessary for the construction of the church, while the old chapel threatened (already) ruins.
He was also buried in the left aisle and the village elders say that strange things happen there every leap year.
