Since 2022, the characterful village of Saint-Haon-le-Châtel has hosted an artistic event: Painters in the street. For a weekend, let yourself be carried away by the artists inspired by the sites of this charming village. An ideal setting for showcasing the city and this art.

Painters in the street: the meeting of heritage and painting
Saint-Haon-le-Châtel is a medieval town labeled Village of Character with a rich architectural and historical heritage. It offers an exceptional view of the Monts de la Madeleine.
For his 2e edition, the event invites the family public to stroll through the streets to discover the heritage and the painters installed in the open air.
A real meeting between visitors and artists is planned to discuss their art and their know-how.
A festive and family atmosphere is the key word for this new event. You will therefore find a musical group strolling through the alleys of the village.
A competition and a color market
As part of a competition over the 2 days, painters will be able to settle in the heart of the village and create live works inspired by the main sites of the village. On Sunday evening, a jury will meet to award 3 prizes to the winners of the competition.
Artists will also be able to exhibit at a large color market where all styles, all canvases will mingle with the background decor: Saint-Haon-le-Châtel.
An event for everyone: locals and tourists alike
The Tourism Association wishes to develop the notoriety of Saint-Haon-le-Châtel through this family cultural event accessible to all: residents and tourists alike.
To arouse the interest of the inhabitants, everyone is invited to make known their "hidden artistic talent" during an exhibition being held in parallel at the Castel des Arts.

Saint-Haon-le-Châtel is a real nugget in Roanne. It marks history but is part of the future by being a living village. A new event that I will enjoy discovering, I who love strolling through the alleys of this charming village.
