Chaugy castle

From the car park, pass in front of the town hall on the D46 towards Montaiguët. Pass the restaurant and turn left towards the stadium and the Baths.

Turn right then right again to go up to the hamlet of Colombier. Turn left on the D46 and continue straight ahead, passing the cemetery.

Turn right towards Chez Garon. Pass the farm and continue on the main path to the Chez Praz crossroads.

Turn left, direction Chez Dapeux. Reach the departmental road (D990) and follow it on your left as far as the Allier / Loire departmental terminal. Then fork to the left on the path and keep this direction by cutting the D46.

At the first dwellings of Vernillet, take the path that goes down on your left through the bocage. At the next crossroads, turn right to the Château de Chaugy. Go up the road to the right. At the crossroads, take the road on your right and take the first path on the left (La Goutte des Noix).

Pass in front of the Chez Moulin farm and continue going down to the right to join the departmental road. Then take the hamlet of Civette opposite and turn right onto the grassy path that goes up. Turn sharply to the left and join Chez Dapeux.

At the crossroads, go down the path to the left and stay on course. Back on the road, turn left.

In the hamlet of Chez Netay, turn left towards Chez Bonnaud. At the second intersection turn right

Continue on the road to reach the D93. Cut the road and continue straight ahead towards Sail-les-Bains.

Come out on the D52. Then turn left and, at the first intersection, again left (cross). Continue straight on to Courty then cross the river (old washhouse on your left). Go up to reach the center of the village and your starting point.
