Despite the lack of records, it has been determined that this organ was built around 1870-1871 by the organ builders of English origin Abbey.
It was sold in 1981 to the Association Saint Roch de Renaison.

It was installed in the chapel of the Work of Saint Nicolas, in Paris, which ceded it, in 1981, to the Association Saint Roch de Renaison.
This association ensured the dismantling, on site, then transport, reassembly and restoration, generously helped by the town of Renaison and its inhabitants.

This instrument is purely romantic, scrupulously respected during the work carried out by professional organ builders.
It was inaugurated in 1983 by Louis Robillard, organ professor at the Conservatoire National de Région de Lyon, one of the world's first organists.

This instrument includes 25 stops and has a large wind tunnel which gives it an unusual power for an instrument of this size, the traction is entirely mechanical and the finishing of the details is very neat.
This organ is used primarily for liturgical animation but also for cultural purposes: recitals, concerts with instrumental or vocal ensembles, visits, academy (1986) ...
Of its kind, it is one of the most important in the Rhône-Alpes region. It is particularly suitable for the interpretation of romantic and contemporary works.

It was classified as a historical monument on November 12, 1991.
