This year, the guided tour program is changing and is full of new features. In fact, 2 programs will be offered in 2024. The first from April to August and the second from September to December. These programs focus its visits around the 2 strong themes of the territory: Heritage and Gastronomy. You can explore the area on foot or by bus. Businesses open their doors, villages reveal their stories, sites offer a breath of fresh air... In total, 42 visits are offered until August, all of which can be booked online. Follow the leader !

Cultural Tours
Roannais Tourisme in partnership with local guides offers you cultural visits which will allow you to discover the gems of Roannais. HAS Roanne, with our guide Catherine, take advantage of “privilege visits” which will give you access to emblematic sites (such as the Palais de Justice, the cinema the Grand Palace, the Cane Mervil company…).
New for 2024: A weekly meeting for visits to the old center of Roanne “From Rodumna to Roanne” on Tuesdays from mid-July to the end of August at 10:30 a.m.
Also, local or heritage protection associations will reveal the secrets of our Villages of Character but also those of more unknown sites or villages such as the Moulin de Lespinasse, Coutouvre, Lay, Château d’Urfé…
Company visits
This year, Roannais Tourisme wanted to expand its company visits and therefore integrated new producers and companies such as Roanne airport, Henitex International or even theCardelaine company. They have all agreed to open their doors to show their know-how and show you how they are made.
The Roannais wants to be a land of delicacies… come and savor the chocolates of Bertrand Chocolatier, cheeses from the Mons cheese dairy or even the products of Farmers Delights.
Winemaker meetings in Côte Roannaise
Gastronomy and local produce are the areas of excellence of Roannais, so it is important to promote it and discover it for visitors. THE Winegrowers Meetings are back with a weekly meeting every Thursday at 18 p.m. from July 11 to August 29. The concept: meet our winegrowers for a privileged 1h30 visit to the heart of the AOC Côte Roannaise vineyard. The price is €14 for the visit and tasting of wines accompanied by cheese and cold meats.
